In June of 2004, Clint Thompson, ATC, was inducted into the NATA Hall of Fame. Induction into the Hall of Fame is the greatest honor the NATA can bestow upon an athletic trainer. Clint was the Head Athletic Trainer for Truman State University from 1985 until 2001. Clint was responsible for the establishment of the current athletic training program at Truman. Clint also played a key role in the establishment of the Journal of Athletic Training, the major publication of athletic training knowledge.
Truman athletic training graduates can be found across the country. Truman
alumni are employed in colleges, high schools, professional sports, and
sports medicine clinics. Many graduates choose to
further their education and enter graduate
schools, physical therapy
schools, or medical school. Immediately after passing the certification
exam, every Truman student has found a job or graduate school position.
